City may axe the ban on wood fences

Last month, the council directed city staff to draft amendments to the municipal code that would allow wooden fencing in residential areas—even areas that are visible from the street.

Train collides with truck outside Moorpark

The accident occurred about 10:20 a.m. at an unguarded private crossing on Los Angeles Avenue near Hitch Boulevard, just outside city limits. read more

Annual address has added twist

The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the 2010 State of the City luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wed., March 17 at the American Jewish University, 1101 Peppertree Lane, Simi Valley.
