The Simi Valley Cajun, Creole Music Festival is Saturday and Sunday at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park.
Its sponsors say it is the second-largest Cajun festival west of the Mississippi, with more than 15,000 people attending.
The festival will feature Cajun and Zydeco music.
In addition, Cajun and Creole food will be available from a variety of food vendors.
Among the groups playing are the San Diego Cajun Playboys, Jeffrey Broussard and the Creole Cowboys, Lisa Haley and the Zydecats and more.
The festival also will have an expanded area for youths, featuring a variety of climbing, sliding and bouncing contraptions, a crafts area and rotating demonstrations by performing artists and musicians.
The event has allowed the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise to distribute net proceeds in excess of $1 million to nonprofit organizations, senior citizens, youths, families in need and community groups in Simi Valley, Ventura County and internationally.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 Los Angeles Ave.
There is off-site parking with shuttle service to the festival grounds located in areas around the main gate.
