CROP Hunger Walk Simi Valley 5K CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk, Simi Valley United Methodist Church, 2394 Erringer Road. Registration begins 12:30 p.m. Walk starts 1:30 p.m. Water stations, postwalk refreshments provided. Portion of donations go to Samaritan Center of Simi Valley, Care and Share. It is that time of year again! Pull out your wallets and come have dinner "Red's Barbeque" on Tuesday, March 25, 2008! This will be the annual fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Eat there on that day only and 15% of what you spend there will go toward the cause.

The Annual Street Fair Connects Business with Community

Produced by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, but with a lot of help from business, organizations, the city and the community, the Simi Valley Street Fair has sold out of street space in past year’s events. This year will be no exception!

Held on Cochran Street, between Galena and Sequoia.

We are bringing back popular features such as the Emergency Expo, Kids Korner, over 300 booths lining Cochran Street displaying business products, sales of arts & crafts, promoting Community Organizations, Commercial vendors and Food Booths.

THE CARNIVAL

The Carnival is held indoors at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, 5005-C Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley. The event will be held on Halloween night, Tuesday, October 31, 2006, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Children and their parents are invited. The admission fee is $1 for Adults, $4 for children ages 2 and up, and $1 for children under 2 years. Everyone is encouraged to wear costumes.

Come one, come all, for great family entertainment! Food and drink, rides and hourly entertainment for everyone. Fun, games, prizes and drawings go on all day. Merchant booths display and sell a variety of products. Crafters Alley on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hand made items, crafts, and gifts are on sale. RV Show case. Saturday and Sunday Skate Board Demo, come meet the skaters from Think and Lucky!! Also Saturday and Sunday we will be having a Pie Eating Contest, Water Balloon and Sack Race (1st and 2nd Place Ribbons to be awarded)

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Susana will present its annual Lobster Fest from 3 to 8 p.m. Sat., Aug. 27 at Rancho Tapo Park, 3700 Avenida Simi at Lemon Drive, Simi Valley.

Family-oriented activities will include food, dancing, entertainment, Kids Korner with crafts, drawings for prizes, a silent auction and more. Lobster, steak and chicken dinners will be available for $25 in advance and $30 at the gate. Children’s meals of hamburgers and hot dogs will be $5.
