Fire in strip mall under investigation
Simi NewsA small fire early Wednesday morning damaged three businesses in a strip mall on Tapo Street, fire officials said. Police officers responded to a call at 4:05 a.m. from a triggered motion alarm at 2355 Tapo St. and found a small fire inside the First Amendment Tattoo Shop, according to Simi Police Sgt. Adam Darough.

Simi NewsAgoura Chargers Last season's results: (Tied for 3rd in Marmonte, 6-4 overall) Agoura defended its home turf well, going 4-1 at AHS. The Chargers picked up victories against Ventura and Rio Mesa in non-league action, and Marmonte wins against Simi Valley, Moorpark, Royal and Calabasas. Agoura didn't lose when it scored 27 or more points in a game.

Simi NewsA new general manager took the reins of Simi Valley Town Center this summer, bringing with him a sense of optimism about the mall's future. Keith Geiger said he was excited to take on management duties for the 600,000-square-foot open-air shopping center, which is owned by Forest City Enterprises, and prepared for the challenges he knows he will face.
Proposed substation has city, Edison at odds
